The show is also telecasted on Saturdays on an extended show Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai Shaniwar Special where different celebrities visit the set from November 2016 onwards. The story revolves around two couples living in the same building as neighbors in Kanpur, India. Mr. Tiwari, played by Rohitash Gaud is portrayed as a successful businessman who has a coy and homely wife named Angoori played by Shubhangi Poorey. Mr. Mishra played by Aashif Sheikh, on the other hand is failure as a professional and instead looks after the household and all the other chores. His wife Anita, played by Saumya Tondon, however is smart and is the sole bread earner in the family. She is shown to be bold, confident and smart and also beautiful who had earlier won a beauty pageant. The men are shown to be attracted towards the others wives and cook up opportunities to keeping seeing each other. Mr. is shown to be flirty and is majority of the time avoided by. Whereas Mr. is portrayed to be more a homely person with a lot of shyness involved while conversing with Mrs. Mrs. Is seen to enjoy the attention she gets from whereas Mrs. turns a deaf ear to all his comments but senses that Mr. has a crush on her. The story revolves around these characters and how the two men pull each other down in order to win the love of their lady love.
This serial has been a major hit amongst the Indian household specially the house wives and has won several awards within a matter of months. It continues to entertain and make people laugh with its cunning comical plots.
