SSC CHSL 2017 registration date extended: Apply till December 27 at ssc.nic.in
Now, candidates can apply for the same till December 27 on the official website, the link for which is ssc.nic.in
Here's what official notice read:
"It has come to the notice of the Commission that due to heavy traffic on the server of the Commission, some candidates are facing problems in submission of online application form for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination, 2017," said the official notification.
"Therefore, keeping in view the difficulties being faced by some candidates, the Competent Authority has decided to further extend the closing date for filling up of online application forms for Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination, 2017 to December 27.
"The candidates may please note that no further extension of time will be given under any circumstances beyond 27.12.2017(5 pm) for submission of online application form to the said Examination," the commission added.
Meanwhile, the computer based exam (Tier - I) is scheduled to be held from March 4, 2018 to March 26, 2018, while Tier II examination (descriptive paper) will be held on July 8, 2018.

Application fee:
- Candidates can make the payment of Rs 100 for the registration procedure
- Women candidates of all categories and candidates belonging to scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, persons with disability and ex-servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee
"As regards payments made through challan, it is informed that in those cases where the challans have been generated by the aspiring candidates upto 5 pm on December 27, they could make the payment to the designated Branches of SBI using the said challan, within the working hours of the Bank upto 29.12.2017," read the SSC notice.
Educational qualification:
Candidates must have passed class 12 from a recognised university or institute.

Paper pattern:
The exam will consist of a computer based exam (tier I), descriptive paper (tier II) and typing test/skill test (tier III).
Tier 1: The exam will have 100 questions based on English language, general intelligence, quantitative aptitude (basic arithmetic skill) and general awareness. It will be held for a duration of 60 minutes while VH/OH (afflicted by cerebral palsy and OH with deformity in writing hand will be given 80 minutes to write the test.
Note: Candidates must note that the negative marking is applicable, 0.50 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Descriptive paper Tier II: This exam will be in pen and paper mode and the duration of the exam would be for one hour. It would comprise writing an essay of 200-250 words and letter application of approximately 150-200 words. The paper will have to be written either in Hindi or in English.
Tier III (Typing and skill test): For the detailed paper pattern, candidates are advised to see the official notification.

पेपर पैटर्न:
परीक्षा में कंप्यूटर आधारित परीक्षा (टियर I), वर्णनात्मक पेपर (टियर II) और टाइपिंग टेस्ट / कौशल परीक्षा (टियर III) शामिल होगी।
